Ship dates
Your guaranteed ship date is confirmed once your order is scheduled into production, and appears in your account along with your pre-arrival guide and remaining balance. Tubs ship on the date assigned.
Because every tub is built to order, we recommend confirming the next available ship date before placing your order. Current dates are published on the shipping and pricing page, or email hi@alumitubs.com and we will confirm for your size and heating system.
Transit times
We guarantee the date your tub ships. Transit time after that depends on the freight carrier, the route and the season, so the figures below are typical rather than guaranteed.

Tracking information is added to your account as it becomes available, and you will receive a confirmation email on the day your tub physically ships.
Receiving your tub
Your AlumiTub ships crated on a pallet, pre-assembled, to your property's nearest freight depot. The depot loads it straight into your truck or trailer by forklift.

Bring a standard truck or trailer and a way to secure the load. No crane, contractor or special equipment is needed at either end, and once uncrated at your property the tub is light enough for two people to roll into place.
Direct curbside delivery to your property is available on Small and Standard tubs for an additional fee. Email hi@alumitubs.com for a quote. Large tubs ship to depot only.
Please inspect your tub before signing for it. Anything found damaged should be noted on the bill of lading and photographed. See our refund policy for how damage claims are handled.

Trade agreements eliminate duty in most destinations, and a statement of Canadian origin is provided with every international shipment. Local taxes are collected before shipment. Full detail by region is on the shipping and pricing page.
US customs documentation
Shipments into the United States require customs clearance, which means establishing you as the importer of record. This is standard for goods crossing the border and applies to every US shipment.
About a month before your ship date we will send you a secure upload link, along with instructions for the documentation US Customs requires.
Everything is submitted through the secure link we send you. We will never ask you to send customs documents by email or text, and we will never ask for them over the phone. If you receive a message claiming to be from AlumiTubs and asking for documents any other way, please do not respond to it, and forward it to hi@alumitubs.com.
Good Clean Living Water Care orders ship by courier and require no customs paperwork.
Payment
Orders are reserved with a $500 CAD deposit. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your scheduled ship date, and we will send a payment link and a reminder as that date approaches.

Changes and cancellation
Up to 30 days before your scheduled ship date you can change your size, change your heating system, add or remove add-ons, adjust your depth, or change your delivery arrangements. There is no fee for any of it. Add-ons, depth and delivery details can be updated yourself in your account, which you receive once your deposit is placed. Changing your size, your system or your production slot is handled personally, so email us for those.
The $500 CAD deposit is non-refundable, as it secures production of a custom build. It is not tied to one order: it can be applied to a future order with no expiry, moved to a different model or size, or transferred as a credit to a friend or family member. Full detail is in our refund policy.
