Over 10,000 AlumiTubs are out in the world, at off-grid cabins, lake cottages, family homes and coastal properties across the globe. The earliest ones are still being soaked in today. That track record is why we can put a 25 year structural warranty on a hot tub, and why we designed every single component to be replaceable rather than disposable.
Built to live on.
Most hot tubs aren't made to live on. They're made to be replaced. An AlumiTub is built the other way: simply and intentionally, every detail carefully mastered and thought through to perform and stand up to whatever the weather throws its way. Coastal salt air, deep cold, a cabin left alone through the winter.
Simple by design, not by shortcut. Nothing is buried. On most hot tubs the working parts sit behind sealed panels and packed foam, awkward to reach and sometimes impossible. On an AlumiTub, the cedar, the firebox, the heater, pump, board and filtration are all bolted, banded or slotted onto a marine-grade aluminum structure, so any of them can be reached and replaced by hand. You can change heating system entirely as your property and your plans change. We still supply parts for tubs built two decades ago.
It also means ownership is genuinely simple. The care instructions and how-to guides are detailed, plainly written and easy to follow, with QR codes on the tub itself so anyone can find them in seconds. Nothing about looking after an AlumiTub asks you to be handy.
That is what the warranty below is really describing. Not a promise that nothing will ever need attention over twenty-five years, but a promise that when something does, there will be a part for it, clear instructions for fitting it, and us on the other end of an email. We've been supporting owners with their particular property and use needs for over twenty-five years, from the first fill to twenty winters in, and that doesn't stop when a warranty runs out.
Why we're able to offer this
We've been building these on the Sunshine Coast since 2001. The design has been refined over twenty-five years of tubs coming back to us with real-world wear from real-world places: salt air on the coast, minus forty in the north, hard well water, unattended cabins, rental properties running seven days a week.
Marine-grade aluminum was chosen because it doesn't rely on swelling to stay watertight the way a traditional cedar tub does, and doesn't crack or delaminate the way an acrylic spa does. Cedar stays on the outside where it belongs, doing what it's best at.
None of that means an AlumiTub will never need anything. It means that when it does, it's a part and an afternoon, not a write-off. That's the whole design philosophy.

What's Covered
Your warranty is registered automatically when your tub ships. There's no form to fill out and nothing to mail back. Coverage begins on the date of delivery to the original purchaser.

Parts, not service calls.
Where a claim is covered, AlumiTubs supplies the replacement part at no charge for the full length of its term. We build tubs that a person can fix themselves, ship the part directly to you, and walk you through the job by email for as long as it takes.
Supplying the part is therefore the extent of the remedy. This warranty does not include labor, service calls, on-site service, diagnostics, installation, removal or refitting, and AlumiTubs does not send technicians to properties. Shipping on replacement parts is the owner's responsibility unless covered by warranty.
25 Year Structural Warranty
The marine-grade aluminum structural lining and foundation of the AlumiTub, together with stainless steel components including the chimney, chimney cap and bands, are warranted to remain free of leaks for twenty-five years from the date of delivery.
Aluminum and stainless steel develop a patina over time as they interact with air, water and minerals. Localized hard water may leave surface deposits or marks. This is normal, is not a fault or flaw, and does not affect the structure or performance of your tub. Guidance on restoring surface finish is in the AlumiTub Manual.
Anode requirement. Electric, Hybrid, and Wood Fired + Filtration tubs must run three magnesium anodes at all times. Replace them every 3–4 months, or once 30% or less of the anode remains, whichever comes first. Anodes are a consumable part, and on the systems that run them they work alongside the built-in marine grade protective barrier and the published water care ranges. Damage to the aluminum on a tub run without current anodes is not covered.
15 Year Cedar Warranty
All Canadian Western Red Cedar components, including seats, exterior cladding and the firebox fence, are warranted against warping or degradation beyond reasonable wear for fifteen years.
Cedar is a living material. It varies in color, grain and texture, silvers with sun exposure, and will develop surface splits and checking as it moves through wet and dry seasons. This is characteristic of the wood rather than a defect, and does not compromise the tub's construction. Cedar components are individually replaceable and can be refreshed at any point in the tub's life, which is why a twenty year old AlumiTub can look new again for the price of a few boards.
10 Year Firebox Warranty
The firebox on Wood Fired and Hybrid models is warranted against defects in workmanship and materials for ten years, and is a fully replaceable component.
The one thing that voids firebox coverage
Firing with insufficient water. Fill to the line marked on the tub, or at least 4 inches above the chimney collar, and keep the water there the entire time the firebox is hot. The firebox must be allowed to cool fully before you drain below that line. Warping or burn-through on a firebox found to have been fired dry is not covered. Burning anything other than clean, untreated wood, such as pellets, fire starter logs, or wood with nails or staples, and allowing rainwater into the firebox will also void coverage. Keep the storage cover on between soaks.
Conditions of Coverage
We stand behind our work, and this warranty is written to be honored. Nothing here is designed to catch you out. It comes down to six things, all of which are in the AlumiTub Manual, and all of which take minutes rather than hours. Those instructions apply to anyone who uses, cleans, treats or services the tub, not only the person who bought it.
- Water chemistry. Hold alkalinity at 80–120 ppm, pH at 7.4–7.8, and calcium hardness at 150–250 ppm. Keep bromine at or below 3 ppm, using tablets in a dispenser: an in-line dispenser on Electric, Hybrid and Wood Fired with Filtration tubs, and a floating dispenser on tubs without filtration. Do not use chlorine, chlorine pucks, salt systems, or any treatment not approved for use with aluminum. Wait until cedar tannins have cleared, typically after the first five fills, before adding sanitizer.
- Water source. Those ranges apply to every fill, whatever the water came from. Rainwater and other very soft sources arrive with almost no calcium hardness or alkalinity and must be corrected before sanitizer goes in, on every fill rather than occasionally. Do not fill through a water softener, which removes calcium by design. Water held persistently below the ranges above is under saturated, and will draw minerals from the surfaces it touches until it is corrected.
- Cleaning. Soft cloth only. No abrasive cleaners, no scrubbing, no sanding.
- Installation. Fully supported on a flat, level surface, with rigid insulation used as a barrier against concrete, gravel or pressure-treated wood. Electrical work completed by a certified electrician to local code.
- Materials in contact with the tub. Aluminum reacts with certain metals and treated timber. Avoid contact with treated wood, metal-bearing stains, non-stainless fittings and non-aluminum components.
- Freezing. Drain and dry completely before freezing conditions if the tub won't be in use, and remove the drain kit and chimney. Never allow ice to form inside the tub.

If anyone else uses or services your tub, they need to know this too.
An AlumiTub is not a conventional spa and cannot be treated like one. The owner is responsible for making sure the care instructions are followed by everyone who touches the tub, including household members, guests, renters, property managers, caretakers, cleaning staff, and any third-party pool or hot tub maintenance contractor. Damage caused by any of those people is treated exactly as if the owner had caused it.
To make that easy, every AlumiTub carries QR codes on the tub itself linking straight to the care instructions. Anyone standing in front of it can scan and read what to do, without needing to find the manual or call you.
Pay particular attention to anyone servicing the water. Spa and pool technicians routinely default to chlorine tablets, pucks and standard spa chemistry, none of which are approved for an aluminum interior. Before letting a contractor treat your water, make sure they have read the water care section and understand that bromine at or below 3 ppm is the only approved sanitizer.
What's Not Covered
Written out plainly so you know exactly where you stand before you buy, rather than finding out during a claim.

Anything on this list can still be put right. It just isn't free. Parts are available to buy for the life of the tub, and we'll help you work out what you need.
Commercial and rental use
AlumiTubs are used at rental cabins, B&Bs, wilderness lodges and vacation properties, and we're glad they are.
On a rental property the owner remains responsible for how the tub is used and maintained by everyone else. That includes guests, property managers, caretakers, cleaners and any hot tub or pool maintenance company engaged to service it. The QR codes on the tub are there to help, and we recommend giving your property manager and anyone contracted to treat the water a copy of the manual as well. Damage arising from a guest, manager or contractor not following the care instructions is not covered.
As set out above, this warranty covers parts only. It does not cover lost bookings, lost rental income, guest compensation or any other commercial loss arising from a tub being out of service, on residential or commercial installations alike.
Original purchaser
This warranty extends to the original purchaser only and is not transferable. Coverage ends if the tub is sold, gifted or otherwise changes hands.

Making a Claim
- Email hi@alumitubs.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and photos showing the affected component and the tub as a whole.
- We'll review it and come back to you. We may ask for a water test result or additional photos.
- We'll confirm the remedy. Where a claim is covered, we supply the replacement part. Parts ship directly to you with fitting instructions.
Supply of a replacement part, or repair at AlumiTubs' discretion, is the sole remedy under this warranty, and does not extend the original warranty period.
Outside of warranty, we're still here. Every part of an AlumiTub is replaceable and available to buy, including on tubs well past their coverage period and on tubs bought secondhand. If something has gone wrong, email us. We'd rather help you fix it than have it sit unused.
Limitations
This warranty extends to the original purchaser only, is not transferable, and covers normal use of the product in accordance with the specifications and care instructions provided at purchase. Those instructions bind anyone who uses, cleans, treats or services the tub, and the original purchaser is responsible for ensuring they are followed. No warranty, express or implied, applies to any condition resulting from accident, acts of third parties, environmental conditions, misuse, abuse, delivery or transportation damage, modification or alteration by any person, inadequate maintenance or cleaning, or damage caused by chemical treatments, cleaning products or protective coatings applied to the product.
In no event shall AlumiTubs be responsible for consequential or incidental damages, including loss of use, inconvenience, labor or service costs, rental or booking income, commercial loss, or damage to personal property, whether direct or indirect and whether arising in contract or tort. In no event shall AlumiTubs' liability exceed the purchase price of the product.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary by province, state or country, and nothing in this warranty limits any statutory rights that cannot be excluded by law.
