AMAZING LIFE UPGRADE! Wow, I’m so in love with my alumitub. We did a ton of research on wood-burning cedar hot tubs and, due to our ranch property being off-grid and in a high elevation region with extreme weather (freezing temperatures year-round), we were concerned about freezing/thawing and all the maintenance that a full cedar tub requires. Then we found alumitubs and knew we had found the perfect solution. Josh was great to work with and even helped us make some cool customizations. The tub was fun and simple to assemble. And once it was assembled…WOW. What a work of art and a remarkable upgrade to our property and ranch life. We fell in love with every part of the process: harvesting and chopping the wood, building and stoking the fire, and then soaking under the Milky Way every night. Perfection! Rather than have to retreat to the cabin when the cold temperatures set in after dark, now we can hang out for hours into the night. FYI the creek water we used to fill the tub was 52 degrees and it took about 5-6 hours to heat the tub to 104 degrees. But then the tub only lost about 5-6 degrees overnight in freezing temperatures, so it was much faster to heat the next day. And if we stoked the fire before going to bed, we were able to wake up to a tub that hadn’t lost any heat at all and have a morning soak. Amazing! We look forward to decades ahead of hot tub sitting and taking time to enjoy the finest parts of life. Thanks AlumiTub!

If I could give ten stars , I would! Customer service : A+. The tub is by far the best gift that keeps on giving ! We received our tub last September. The delivery was smooth, as was the pick up. No damage or issues. The assembly was super easy with two people ( just watch the videos :) . We used it all winter (in the Rocky Mountains) and it was the highlight of the season!!! (And our neighbors love it hahah ). The best part is that once you get it heated and you want to use it the next day, it takes maybe just 30 minutes to get it piping hot again (in single digit winter temps). It holds the temperature superbly!!!! The quality of the construction of the tub is top notch. Solid. We have a well system, too, so water conservation is an issue. We ordered a hot tub from this amazing BC/Local company about midway through the pandemic. Aware that they can only make so many at a time, and maintain their standards of construction and materials, we were happy to wait. Josh kept us up to date on timing and alerted us when it was ready, and delivery details. We picked-it up (an option for locals) and immediately could see the quality and attention that went into our tub. Assembly and site-setup was easy and was a family project. We weren't sure exactly where to put it (and may wish to move it) so we set it up on a thick bed of wood chips (which also offer more insulation). 6 months on, we continue to enjoy it and to appreciate the cedar scent that comes with each use. It takes a bit of practice to start and tend the fire to heat the water, but practice is part of all good things. We appreciate the ease of cleaning (naturally) and knowing the water we use is part of the cycle of water where we live (so we don't use any chemicals and are exploring how to also use it on our garden). These tubs are made with care and that comes across in the way Alumitubs works and their customer service. Josh goes out of his way to listen and to help. We absolutely love our AlumiTub. I had searched for a long time to find the right tub for our home in New England, as very cold winter weather means only certain types of tubs can be used year-round. Also, the location I wanted to use made a traditional tub hard to install (and traditional tubs are ugly). SO glad I found AlumiTub. The shipment was easy and delivery came to our rural location; installation was easy (done by our contractor who built the deck) and we were in the tub the same day he finished. The instructions on how to use are very good, which isn’t always the case. I had no trouble setting the tub up myself. The tub is beautiful and heats up quickly…really quickly with the fire box. I ordered an AlumiTub for my backyard in Northern Virginia for a few reasons. I have a large number of trees for firewood, I'm on well water, & I didn't want to run a 240v circuit anywhere for power.
The ordering experience was effortless. It took about five months from ordering to the arrival of my hot tub at a local freight depot. It arrived in one of the windows when there were no insane tariffs on Canadian products, so I didn't have to pay any additional fees, thank goodness.
I managed to load the palletized tub onto a flatbed trailer, bring it home, unpack it, and quickly set it up. The AlumiTub gang, especially Josh and Amanda, has been fantastic, answering all kinds of questions about how to prepare, set up, and maintain my tub.

We purchased the Small Electric Cedar Hot Tub from Alumitubs and could not be happier! Until now, I was not a hot tub person. I don’t care for the aesthetics of the typical fiberglass tub, cannot stand the jets (noisy, hard to clean), and detest how heavy they are and hard to get rid of if need be. Because my wife really wanted a soaking tub, I dutifully began to research our options and was fortuitous enough to stumble across Alumitubs. The more I researched, the more enthusiastic I became. I couldn't have been happier with the whole process, start to finish. The team at AlumiTubs provided excellent service and accommodated my request when I told them I wanted to surprise my wife with one for her birthday by moving up the production date. I order the large tub and set it up on an island cottage. Moving it was awkward but manageable with some help from friends. We use a gas transfer pump to fill it which takes about 20 min and then to heat it takes about 3 hours with a hot fire from very cold lake water. I put the recommendation insulation underneath and that seems to help. It's a very comfortable tub to sit in.

We were contemplating an Alumitub vs a different wood fired hot tub from a local distributer. What I can say is - I'm super glad we ended up deciding on the Alumitub. We ordered the large size, and its super spacious. There's a ton of space in the middle to avoid footsies. From a design perspective, it's beautiful. It's both modern and rustic, with clean lines. Quality is impressive, including all the accessories. Service has been top notch: one of our accessories was meant for a different sized tub - the right part was shipped out the next day, and arrangements made for the wrong part to be picked up at our convenience. It's been an ideal experience so far, and we expect this tub to last us decades.

The stove is quite effective at getting our cold Montana water up to temperature in a reasonable amount of time. We've owned a wood fired alumitub for a year now, and are delighted with it. It came packaged up on a pallet, easily moved (on a large trailer) to our off grid location. Assembly was straight forward, and it works like a champ. I've been amazed at how long the tub will stay hot after it comes up to temp. If we get it to 42 degrees in the evening, it'll still be at least 38 degrees the next morning, giving the kids a fun morning dip.

We recently purchased an Alumitub hot tub and we are extremely satisfied with the purchase. The tub is well-built and looks beautiful in our backyard. It feels like we are on vacation every time we get in it. It’s absolutely magical.

"My wife and I have thoroughly enjoyed our Alumitub. I have a few points I love about it and some considerations for set up. First, Josh has been very supportive and answering my questions about set up. The video is great, but we wanted to add an EZPad beneath it. Josh has been very helpful with considerations for iintegrating it. Second, we really appreciate that our hot tub needs no electricity. This has allowed us to place it away from our house and saved us the trouble with integrating wiring. Additionally, the hot tub is much more quiet than one we owned at a different house. No loud water jets to wake you up in the night or have to talk over. We also like the fact that if needed, we can relocate our hot tub. It would be challenging, but at least it is something two people can do together. Third, we just fell a bunch of diseased trees on our property. I appreciate the fact that those trees will go to good use and lower our power/gas bill for our home. Lastly it is a nice design. Comfortable and easy to clean. For set up and use I have some additional points. The EZPad is about 2 inches thick. So we added a PVC extension to the drain to connect to the optional drain setup. A 1” PVC coupler was also required. We have a solar powered portable light system that surrounds our tub. Perfect for the evening. I found that filling the hot tub take about 90 minutes. With a moderate fire, it takes about 4 hours to heat up from 55 degrees to 100 degrees. Also, leave room in the hot tub to add cold water if you over heat it. In our environment, I have found the hot tub will lose about 1 degree of heat per hour if it is fully covered up. About an hour before I go to bed, I make a small fire in the hot tub. By morning, it is normally around a perfect temperature for use. I highly recommend Alumitub"

Super-friendly and responsive customer service, which is hugely important when making a fairly costly purchase from across the border (into U.S.). Everything went smoothly and the tub was delivered well-ahead of the quoted timing. We use the tub weekly in the cooler months. We have a near-endless supply of quality oak, so your wood supply (well-split and seasoned) is a critical factor. Moving the tub around your property is easy (roll it). Definitely need perfectly flat area within hose range. Easy to drain, recommend hard cover. Fire takes practice, take your time, keep wood and oven dry, get a propane torch for lighting - you will get it and it’s pretty satisfying, but there are chores/PREP involved. No electric bills, keep it hot all weekend! Tub itself is quality, nice, smooth metal work, solid. No noise/vibration, so night tubbing is bliss. Unpacking and set up are fairly straightforward, but take your time. If you have wood, aren’t afraid of DIY, and want pure peace, then this tub is for you.

After barging our AlumiTub over to our wildfire-burned lot on Loon Lake 7 years ago, two of us rolled it up the hill and installed it. It's been the highlight of all our (and our grandkids’ and guests') stays there, and a welcome relief after a hard day’s work building the cabin. Maintenance and upkeep have been easy. The Alumitub is built to last and we expect several generations to enjoy it over the years. The most memorable night was soaking in the hot tub with a cool one, watching a sky-wide northern lights display against the backdrop of burnt tree trunks.

"Just to let you know my tub arrived safely in Kamloops and on time. Hauled it to the lake and transferred from one trailer to another after unbundling it and took it the last km on an ATV road to our property. Last weekend we constructed the support for the tub and began the associated deck. We were able to try it out and it heated the water to 102 degrees F in about 3 hours. It worked well. We were advised by neighbours (seems this island has as many alumitubs as personal sawmills) as to location, ie where will any smoke blow? avoid blowing smoke toward sitting areas or windows (not much smoke anyway except at start up), situate where you have a great view of the stars. In our case, the ocean too. Now the plug for having a tub. If you are planning on building a home or cabin, put the tub in FIRST. I didn’t think I would be thrilled with it. It seemed like a bit of foolish extravagance. But day after a day of doing major repairs to our cabin, living in a construction zone with none of the usual comforts, like a place to cook, we found a soak in the tub before bed to be absolute heaven. My husband even discovered that he could use the fire of the tub to cook smokies for dinner. Hot food! on a cold rainy night. It’s usually not a daytime thing for us. We work hard all day. AMAZING LIFE UPGRADE! Wow, I’m so in love with my alumitub. We did a ton of research on wood-burning cedar hot tubs and, due to our ranch property being off-grid and in a high elevation region with extreme weather (freezing temperatures year-round), we were concerned about freezing/thawing and all the maintenance that a full cedar tub requires. Then we found alumitubs and knew we had found the perfect solution. Josh was great to work with and even helped us make some cool customizations. The tub was fun and simple to assemble. And once it was assembled…WOW. What a work of art and a remarkable upgrade to our property and ranch life. We fell in love with every part of the process: harvesting and chopping the wood, building and stoking the fire, and then soaking under the Milky Way every night. Perfection! Rather than have to retreat to the cabin when the cold temperatures set in after dark, now we can hang out for hours into the night. FYI the creek water we used to fill the tub was 52 degrees and it took about 5-6 hours to heat the tub to 104 degrees. But then the tub only lost about 5-6 degrees overnight in freezing temperatures, so it was much faster to heat the next day. And if we stoked the fire before going to bed, we were able to wake up to a tub that hadn’t lost any heat at all and have a morning soak. Amazing! We look forward to decades ahead of hot tub sitting and taking time to enjoy the finest parts of life. Thanks AlumiTub!

We ordered a hot tub from this amazing BC/Local company about midway through the pandemic. Aware that they can only make so many at a time, and maintain their standards of construction and materials, we were happy to wait. Josh kept us up to date on timing and alerted us when it was ready, and delivery details. We picked-it up (an option for locals) and immediately could see the quality and attention that went into our tub. Assembly and site-setup was easy and was a family project. We weren't sure exactly where to put it (and may wish to move it) so we set it up on a thick bed of wood chips (which also offer more insulation). 6 months on, we continue to enjoy it and to appreciate the cedar scent that comes with each use. It takes a bit of practice to start and tend the fire to heat the water, but practice is part of all good things. We appreciate the ease of cleaning (naturally) and knowing the water we use is part of the cycle of water where we live (so we don't use any chemicals and are exploring how to also use it on our garden). These tubs are made with care and that comes across in the way Alumitubs works and their customer service. Josh goes out of his way to listen and to help. Be patient - with a young family and a busy business - there's a lot for Alumitubs to balance, but they do it well. Thanks Josh & Alumitubs.

I ordered an AlumiTub for my backyard in Northern Virginia for a few reasons. I have a large number of trees for firewood, I'm on well water, & I didn't want to run a 240v circuit anywhere for power.
The ordering experience was effortless. It took about five months from ordering to the arrival of my hot tub at a local freight depot. It arrived in one of the windows when there were no insane tariffs on Canadian products, so I didn't have to pay any additional fees, thank goodness.
I managed to load the palletized tub onto a flatbed trailer, bring it home, unpack it, and quickly set it up. The AlumiTub gang, especially Josh and Amanda, has been fantastic, answering all kinds of questions about how to prepare, set up, and maintain my tub.

When people come over to visit, they are amazed by my AlumiTub. I love a relaxing evening soak with the smell of crackling firewood in the air. Would order again if given the choice!

We purchased the Small Electric Cedar Hot Tub from Alumitubs and could not be happier! Until now, I was not a hot tub person. I don’t care for the aesthetics of the typical fiberglass tub, cannot stand the jets (noisy, hard to clean), and detest how heavy they are and hard to get rid of if need be. Because my wife really wanted a soaking tub, I dutifully began to research our options and was fortuitous enough to stumble across Alumitubs. The more I researched, the more enthusiastic I became.
