Hybrid Power

Your Hybrid ships 240V hardwired as standard — that's what heats the tub properly. A 120V plug-in version exists but heats slowly and we don't recommend it; if you think you need 120V, email hi@alumitubs.com before finalizing so we can talk it through.

Wood Fired Steps — $350 CAD
Cedar steps for safely getting in and out. Only order if you selected the Wood Fired tub — already included if you ordered Wood Fired + Filtration & Steps. Not relevant for Electric, Hybrid, or Wood Fired + Filtration systems, which come with equipment already housed inside the steps by default.

Future Compatibility Ports — Free
Optional flanges built into your tub now, so electric heating/filtration can be added later without retrofitting. Only relevant if you don't already have filtration.

Firebox Cover Plate — $400 CAD
Marine-grade aluminum cover — keeps heat in, debris out of the firebox.

Cable Hatch Side *

The cable hatch is the access opening at the base of the steps where your filtration system's power cable exits to connect to your outdoor receptacle. Choose based on where your power source is, so the cable doesn't end up running across a walking path.

Before you finalize — plan your site

Your AlumiTub arrives ready for a straightforward setup: you'll place it on your prepared base, fit the insulation underneath, then wrap and band the cedar cladding (two people recommended). Plan ahead for a level, fully supported base rated for the filled weight (up to ~7,000 lb on a Large) and rigid foam insulation under the tub — two layers of closed-cell XPS, 1.5" + 2" (3.5" total), required on concrete, gravel or pressure-treated wood. Electric & Hybrid also need a dedicated 30A / 240V GFCI circuit installed by a licensed electrician. Full detail in Sections 2–4 of your manual (pages 4–7).
